Visa debuts automatic discount program for small business.
Visa Inc. introduced a new program this week to help small business owners save money with automatic discounts at participating merchants. Bank of America, (NYSE: BAC) Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC,) Wachovia (NYSE: WB), Chase (NYSE: JPM) and PNC Bank (NYSE: PNC) are the first to offer Visa SavingsEdge. Other card issuers will be added to the program this year and next.
Visa SavingsEdge provides Visa Business cardholders with automatic discounts on qualifying purchases made with their Visa Business card at select merchants after enrolling their Visa Business credit or check card.
Small business owners are looking for simple ways to cut costs and extend their purchasing power. Merchants currently enrolled in the Visa SavingsEdge program range from travel and rental cars services to shipping companies, including UPS (NYSE: UPS), Alamo Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and SYX Services, an affiliate and management services provider to TigerDirect and CompUSA source
I.B.M. Ups Its Bet on Business Recovery Services.
I.B.M. is spending $300 million to build 13 data centers around the world, dedicated to helping corporate customers keep their businesses up and running despite power failures, natural disasters or political turmoil.
There has been a big increase in demand for these services in the last 18 months, according to Philippe Jarre, general manager of I.B.M.’s business continuity and resiliency services unit. The demand, it seems, is reflected in a nicely growing business. Though he won’t disclose sales for the business recovery group, Mr. Jarre did say it is fastest-growing business in I.B.M.’s big services division. His group must be doing well, since I.B.M. Global Services grew 16 percent last quarter.
Business continuity services are intended to help companies make sure the information technology engines of a business can recover quickly, after some calamity. A few years ago, the best companies could recover after being down for several hours or a few days.

Nowadays, there are many credit cards sites that we can found on Internet. If you check it yourself, you can get a bunch of info about credit card just by enter the credit cards word in the search engine column. Whatever it is, I think all credit card holders must know how credit card can help them and what is the different between ‘secured’ or ‘unsecured’ card.
When a person swipes the credit card in the magstripe reader, what actually happenis all the informations will be sent to the central tracking system, which has all the information about the card owner, balance details, country, zip code etc. The fact is, many of us prefer to use the unsecured one. Means that our credit cards are open lines of credit, so that we can use it to make purchases. But there’s also a secured one or in another word, prepaid one.
